What are Eastern Oils?
Middle Eastern scents, often rich, bold, and spicy, are known as the eastern oils. They are highly concentrated fragrance oils traditionally called attars crafted through distillation processes that capture the pure essence of the ingredients. Unlike Western perfumes that rely heavily on alcohol, eastern oils are completely alcohol-free and oil-based.
Since they are oil-based and not alcoholic, their molecules are denser and heavier. This is why they stay much longer on your skin or clothes than traditional Western fragrances.
Ingredients Found in Eastern Oils
Here’s what you will often find in Eastern oils.
-
Oud (Agarwood). Delivers a rich, smoky complexity that serves as the backbone of traditional Eastern perfumery. Found in most of our Eastern oils as well.
-
Amber. The warm and resinous. It adds warmth to the base, wrapping heavier woods and spices in a smooth, inviting sweetness. It’s prominent in our Ghilaf e Kaaba or Hijr e Aswad.
-
Taif Rose. Taif Rose is super, super deep, rich, and has a distinct spicy edge. It brings a velvet-like fullness without feeling overly sweet.
-
Saffron. A spice that adds a smooth, leathery warmth to the top or middle notes.
-
Sandalwood. Sandalwood is super smooth, creamy, and helps tremendously with long-lasting. It balances sharp spices and heavy resins with a soft, comforting woody foundation that stays close to the skin.
-
Musk / White Musk. Just like the warmth of the natural skin, it helps Eastern oils stay on the skin for the entire day. Enjoy authentic musk in our Shaheer Al Musk.
-
Patchouli. A rich, dark, and earthy ingredient that adds serious character when the scent dries down. You can experience patchouli in our Engraved.
-
Cardamom. It provides a clean, spicy kick in the opening notes, balancing heavier resinous bases.
-
Jasmine Sambac. A floral note that adds a sweet touch to the scent.
-
Oakmoss. It gives a classic, forest-floor grounding effect that adds structure and remarkable longevity to traditional blends.
Contributions of the Middle East in Perfumery
While ancient Egypt and Mesopotamia used pressed oils and infused fats, long before the Middle East, to create fragrances, the Middle East transformed how perfume was made and experienced.
Ibn Sina is credited with inventing the process of steam distillation around the 10th/11th century, which allowed for the extraction of oils from flowers (such as rose water), creating lighter, purer liquid perfumes rather than heavy, oil-based pastes.
The invention completely transformed the perfume industry.
This eventually led to the synthetic revolution, which is what we enjoy today as perfume oils.

Experience talks.
All these years, we did not just sit there but rather created something that we are proud of. In the process, we learned the market. Not because we wanted to, but because we had to. To cater to the olfactory senses of the common Pakistani people.
And with pride in our hearts, we must say we accomplished what we were after. We have compiled scents that went crazy viral not only in a single city but all over Pakistan.
These eastern oils are created with that exact experience. They are created specifically for the nose of Pakistanis.
